This Policy explains how HIP株式会社 (“HIP”, “we”) handles information in connection with the Quairor service at quairor.com and app.quairor.com (the “Service”).

1Information we process

• Account & contact data — the name, email and login credentials used to access the Service.
• Content you submit — patent or technical documents you upload, claim text, feature descriptions and search queries you enter.
• Usage & technical data — log data such as IP address, browser/device information, timestamps and actions taken, kept for security and to operate the Service.

2How we use it

• To provide, operate, secure and improve the Service and to authenticate access.
• To generate search and analysis results from the content you submit.
• To respond to your requests and provide support.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

3AI and automated processing

The Service uses information-retrieval and AI models to turn your query and submitted content into search results. Most processing runs on HIP-operated servers in Japan. Certain steps (for example, relevance verification of top results) may be performed via third-party AI providers (such as Anthropic) through their APIs; in that case the relevant text is transmitted to and processed by that provider under its own terms. 4Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with: (a) service providers that host or support the Service, under confidentiality obligations; (b) the AI providers described above, strictly to deliver results; and (c) authorities where required by law.

5International transfer & storage

The Service is operated from Japan and your data may be processed and stored there and in the locations of our providers. Terms of Use

By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind it.

1What the Service is

Quairor is a technical search and information tool for prior-art and patent research. It helps you locate and read documents and assess their relevance to a technical feature.

2Not legal advice

The Service provides technical and informational support only. Its outputs are search aids and do not constitute legal advice or an opinion of any kind — including on patentability, validity, infringement, freedom-to-operate or standard-essentiality. Use of the Service does not create any attorney–client or advisory relationship. You are solely responsible for your own decisions and should obtain qualified professional advice.

3No warranty of completeness or accuracy

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not warrant that search results are complete, accurate, current, or that any relevant document has been found. Cutoff dates and disclosure dates are estimates based on source-repository metadata and may differ from legal publication dates. You must independently verify anything you rely on.

4Your content & license

You retain your rights in the documents and text you submit. You grant HIP a limited license to host, process and transmit that content solely to operate the Service for you (including the AI processing described in the Privacy Policy). You represent that you have the right to submit it and that doing so does not violate any law or third-party right.

5Acceptable use

• No unlawful, infringing or abusive use; no attempt to breach security or access others’ data.
• No reverse engineering, scraping, or automated bulk access beyond normal use.
• No use that overloads or disrupts the Service.

6Accounts

Keep your credentials confidential; you are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us of any unauthorized use.

7Intellectual property

The Service, software, and the Quairor and HIP names and marks are owned by HIP. These Terms grant you no rights in them except the right to use the Service as permitted.

8Fees
